Drawn Recordings is a forward thinking record label from Bristol, but that doesn't really tell the whole story. We put on nights, promote art, writing, video.... anything that is creative and good. You can find out more about us here.

UWE Video

After some talks with the good people at the University of the West of England (UWE to you and me) we have some Drawn music on three of their upcoming videos and a short film. Really good folk there who are genuinely keen to help the scene here. Good on you UWE.

Here is the first one.

Gig Hiatus

If you haven't already noticed, we're taking something of a break from putting on live shows. Actually, we've eased off the throttle on everything a bit recently. It's only temporary though, in case you were worried!

After several good years residency at Mr Wolfs, bringing interesting and outstanding (mainly) electronic based acts and cool visuals, not to mention the odd bit of live art, we've stepped aside. Lot's of great memories and great music. Thanks massively to the wolf possť, we'll miss you.

On to the next thing... in a bit.

UWE (University of the West of England) approached us looking to use the Gyu remix of Ghosts by Kloudbreak on some of their film and promo material. Nice, we'll post up the final published work. Looks good so far though...

Birdcage - March 22nd

posted by: gus on: 2013-03-13

Friday 22nd MArch @ The Birdcage, Clare St. Bristol

A unique blend of English folk and live electronics. "Arresting, atmospheric and often thrilling"

Marcus Cambell

The producer behind local legends Dubrovnik, also known for his work with dub pioneers Zion Train and more recently Guido. Marcus performs a unique solo set of abstract, atmospheric guitar sketches.

A solo set from one of the multi-instrumentalists behind the excellent Lasting Days. A Well-crafted brand of melancholic indie/folk.

Tense, haunted ambient collages with a cinematic and dreamlike intent.

+ Comfy sofas!

Million Way & GFA

posted by: gus on: 2013-03-13

Million Way hit the live business after some time spent working on material and all that stuff. They were on top form with the help of stand in drummer Paul from Jilk, Protest Crayon and other bands.

The Graham Function Argument performed to an audience somewhat taken aback, but then, they're not normal. Here's a video of them from last Thursday at Mr Wolfs:
